Many major airlines guarantee that you will find the cheapest flights on their own websites. I always check sites like expedia.com or orbitz.com to see which airline has the cheapest flight, and then I go to that airline’s website and pick the same flights. Probably 99% of the time I get the exact same price (or occasionaly cheaper) with the airline. Plus most of those sites charge a “booking fee” of $5 or more. So I always go to the individual airline’s website. Also check the “low fare” carriers like Southwest Airlines or JetBlue – they don’t list their fares on most of those sites. Althogh they’re not always the cheapest… Actually JetBlue seems like it’s always more expensive than American or USAirways.
