How are US airways flights?
coldest_touch asked:
Im flying from california to indiana soon and the 2 cheapest flights are southwest airlines and US airways. I would fly southwest because I’ve heard good things about it but the flight has a 3:15 layover in phoenix and the overall flight is almost 12 hours. so how bad is US airways?

The only problems with US Airways are for flights that either originiate or land in Philadelphia.
If the prices are the same and one flight has a layover, I’d always pick the non-stop flight. When you have layovers, you are more prone to be stuck in a distant city if the second flight gets cancelled.

not bad at all. you would probably get more service on board a US Airways Flight vs a Southwest flight insted of getting just a bag of pretzels. you get to choose ur seat in advance on US Airways instead of first come first serve on Southwest. IDK…its whatever is cheaper to me really..

US Airways definitely…the service is better than Southwest and it is way more convenient. For Southwest your line to check-in will take forever because they don’t give seat assignments. Basically, you are put in group A, B, or C on a first come first serve basis. This creates longer check-ins than almost all other airlines. If you do go Southwest check in up to 24 hrs ahead of time online.

US Airways is okay but I would prefer another airline over them. They were the first airline to get rid of free snack service and started charging passengers for a cup of water. Since then, the airline has brought back snack service and stopped charging for water but the airline is not my favorite.
I would prefer Southwest Airlines. They have a lower passenger complaint rate. As for the 3 hour connection, that is not bad since I once had a 7 hour connection in San Francisco.
