How do airlines in Europe manage to charge so little for flights?

Alexander D asked:

Flying around Europe can be really cheap - $5.00 tickets for instance. It doesn’t even seem like they would be able to cover their expenses charging so little… How or why do they do this?

Well, flying domestically in Europe isn’t that far. Most of the countries are bunch together. Plus, they don’t have an oil problem like the U.S. Also, they aren’t in as much risk for a terror attack as the U.S.

Well the fact on each flight you get only 5 seats on that $5 fare and then the fare keeps on increasing by 5 seats with a difference of minimum $10 and these fares are exclusive of taxes so you will always see taxes extra
