Buying Gift cards for flights on Travel sites?

I was going to buy her a travel gift card on a site like Expedia, Orbitz or Travelocity but can not find any. I want her to use it to find the cheapest flight to come out and visit me.

Does anyone know if these cards even exist?
I saw American Airlines had it but it would be stupid to buy that if it turns out another flight airlines a lot less…
